We went to our first Christmas panto at the weekend - oh yes we did! (sorry)

Tale as old as time...Beauty and the Beast at Cannon Hall

Cannon Hall Farm is getting in there early stoking up the festive spirit with its tale as old as time - Beauty and the Beast.

At 70 minutes, the production - hosted in a giant marquee in the farm’s grounds, complete with refreshements and comfy mats right at the front for kids to sit on - was the perfect length for little attention spans. It was also jam-packed with songs, slapstick, silliness and a whole heap of audience participation; the perfect panto blueprint. Yes some of the jokes were groan-worthy (as is to be expected) and some of the singing was a little off-key (okay quite a bit off-key in places) but the room full of giggling kids certainly didn’t care.

And you haven’t missed your chance to get in on this panto action, as the show will be returning to the farm this weekend. Visit www.cannonhallfarm.co.uk for tickets.
