A legendary Sheffield band will play a sold-out gig in their hometown.

Reverend and the Makers will perform at the O2 Academy in Sheffield on November 14.

The band released new album Mirrors last month.

Frontman Jon McClure said he has taken more of a backseat while working on the new music.

He said: “This album is about putting all the band members at the forefront and grasping that great musicians they all are.”

Despite having only just been released the album has already attracted some famous fans including Noel Gallagher who took to social media to give some positive feedback.

Bassist Joe Carnall Jnr said: “There is more of a wider palette which people seem to be really enjoying. There’s a big mix of genres its not just the same B_PM,. it seems to have paid of it could have really backfired.”

Laura McClure added: All of us are doing lots of different vocals, its not just Jon, there’s lot of different features. It is harping back to the first album which is nice.”
