The results are in - and we can reveal who you voted to win the accolade of best cinema in Sheffield.

Which is Sheffield's best cinema?

With the arrival of the city's newest cinema, The Light, next month, we wanted you to tell us which was your favourite place for a night at the flicks in Sheffield.

And you've overwhelmingly named Cineword as your number one choice for cinema going and a tub of popcorn or two.

The Valley Centertainment venue easily topped our poll, securing 53% of the vote and putting it way clear of runner-up, the city centre based Curzon which secured 16% of the vote.

The i newsletter cut through the noise

Showroom was next with 14%, followed by the Odeon in Arundel Gate (9%) and Vue at Meadowhall claiming 6% of the votes cast.

Last but not least was the Abbeydale Picture House, which completed the poll with 2%.
