REVEALED: The most expensive homes sold in Sheffield this year

The Star can today reveal the most expensive homes sold in Sheffield this year.

Sheffield may not sell homes for sums seen in other part of the country but there have been some big deals concluded this year.

Already this year a house in London has been sold for £11 million and Sheffield can’t quite compete with that.

However, there have been some pretty huge deals completed this year according to the latest Land Registry stats.

House prices are only going up, especially in Sheffield where the average price of a home is £195,000.

While there are some relative bargains to be had, all the properties featured in this list are far and above the Sheffield average.

The findings come just weeks after the Star revealed the most expensive streets to buy a home in Sheffield.

The top 10 most expensive streets in Sheffield are all close to £1 million with Whirlow Park Road named as the most expensive.

Despite these huge sales in Sheffield, the housing market demand from buyers has been consistently falling for a year, according to surveyors.

The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (Rics) said buyer demand has fallen for 12 months in a row as momentum continues to slow with falling numbers of fresh properties coming to market and decreasing levels of house sales.

It said there is “little encouragement” that falling housing market activity is likely to be reversed any time soon - potentially having wider implications for the economy and household spending.
