REVEALED: Sheffield's worst burglary hotspots

New figures show that there are hundreds of burglaries across Sheffield each month.

According to the figures which are published on the police.uk website there were a total of 436 burglaries in Sheffield during February this year.

This is out of a total of 5,084 crimes reported across the city in February.

The February figures equate to an average of 15 reported burglaries a day during the course of the month.

Sheffield is split into four policing wards - Central, North East, South East and West, A breakdown of reported crimes by street in each ward is part of the published figures.

In addition to burglary other categories of crimes in the figures include bicycle theft, anti-social behaviour, robbery, shoplifting, theft from a person and other theft.

Other categories are criminal damage and arson, drugs, possession of weapons, public order, vehicle crime, and violence and sexual offences.

In February a total of 166 burglaries were reported in Sheffield West.

Sheffield Central recorded 70 burglaries, while there were 113 reported burglaries in Sheffield North East.

In the South East ward of Sheffield there were a total of 87 burglaries during February.
