Restoration to former glory

Kimberworth grandad, David Johnson, has been putting his handyman skills to the test helping to renovate the grand Georgian staircase at Rotherham's Grade I listed gem, Wentworth Woodhouse.

The talented 72-year-old volunteer has been engrossed in the task of restoring brass fittings and fixtures on the Imperial staircase, built in 1801-02.
