Residents urged to have their say on developments

Plans setting out major developments needed to support Derbyshire’s growing population over the next 15 to 20 years are open for public consultation.

Derbyshire County Council wants people’s views on rail and road improvements and maintenance, links for public transport, walking and cycling, and investment in schools.

Other topics include accommodation, care and support for older people, flood management schemes, broadband internet expansion, household waste recycling centres and libraries.

Derbyshire County Council cabinet member for economy and transport Coun Joan Dixon said: “We want to build a strong economy.”
