Sheffield residents are being urged to find out more about a new £7 million health and leisure centre being built in the city.

An information centre is open seven days at week at the parish council offices in Mortomley Lane, High Green, near to where the new Thorncliffe Health and Leisure Centre is being built at Thorncliffe Recreation Ground.

The centre will be run by Places for People Leisure Ltd in partnership with Sheffield Council and will boast a new gym, six lane swimming pool, a learner pool and two multi-use studios.

A team of customer service advisors are on hand at the information centre for people to sign up to become members or to find out more about what it will offer.

Richard Cowley, Places for People Leisure Ltd’s area manager, said: “There is no better time to sign up and start leading that healthier life.”
