RESIDENTS in north east Derbyshire can have their say on a plan which will shape future housing services.
North East Derbyshire District Council has set out priorities for meeting needs over the next three years in its draft housing strategy.
The plan sets out five priorities which the council will focus on.
The plan is to provide more affordable social homes to rent or buy, make better use of existing housing stock, to support people to prevent them from becoming homeless, increase provision of housing for people in need of support and make sure homes are decent and safe
Coun Betty Hill, member with responsibility for housing, said changes affected many residents. She said: “Our strategy is designed to help us respond to these and plan for the future to ensure we can meet the needs of our communities.”
