Remembering workers’ deaths

Have your say

WREATHS and flowers are to be placed around a tree in Sheffield in memory of people who have been killed at work.

The ceremony is being held by Sheffield Trades Union Council to mark International Workers’ Memorial Day, at 12.30pm on Sunday, April 28.

Lord Mayor of Sheffield, Coun John Campbell, an official for Unison at the Northern General Hospital, will open proceedings at the workers’ memorial tree outside the Town Hall, before speeches are made by trade unionists.
