Register your right to vote

Have your say

A FURTHER call has been made for people to ensure they are registered to vote at the May 5 local elections.

Rotherham Council said some residents who have moved house may not have put their names on the electoral roll for their new address and need to act quickly.

Martin Kimber, the council’s electoral registration officer, said: “Such residents should already have received a letter and registration form.

“If so, they should fill in the form and send it back to Electoral Services. If they have not received a form and have not registered to vote, they can request a registration form by calling our Electoral Services department.”

Residents should also contact the council if they want to vote by post or by proxy. Log on to and call 01709 823 590.
