A SCULPTURE will be unveiled at the entrance of Richmond Park in Sheffield today, to celebrate the completion of an £18 million regeneration programme for the area.

The installation by Sheffield artist Coralie Turpin will be revealed at 3.45pm at Richmond Park Community Centre.

Guests will be the first to see the neighbourhood’s new entrance feature, a pyramid sculpture featuring mosaics of wildlife.

Great Places Housing Group took ownership of the area in 2007 and has since built two new blocks of 12 apartments and refurbished more than 300 existing homes.

Chief executive Stephen Porter said: “Residents now have a neighbourhood of which they can be proud. We hope they feel safe and happy in their new environment.”
