Refurbished swimming pool set to re-open in Sheffield
Volunteers at a community run sports centre in Sheffield are hoping their refurbished swimming pool makes a splash with local residents when it opens next week.
The main pool at Stocksbridge Leisure Centre is due to open to the public on Monday.
A full water based activity programme, including swimming lessons, zorbing and children’s sessions with inflatables will be available.

Hide AdThe leisure centre and pool closed in April 2013 because of Sheffield Council funding cuts across the city.
A team of local volunteers took over the running of the centre and arranged for the main swimming pool to be refurbished.
A official opening ceremony is to be held tomorrow.
The sports centre offers an indoor bowling green, gym, multi-purpose sports hall and squash courts.
