Refurbished pub perfectly combines the old and the new

A Rotherham pub has reopened following a £200,000 refurbishment that has created six new jobs.

The Three Horseshoes, in Wickersley, plans to combine the new and old at its ‘cosy, family pub,’ displaying collections of historic photos of the area on its freshly painted walls, alongside a host of modern features.

Manager Les Hince, who runs the pub with wife Tammy, said: “The Three Horseshoes is a true family pub, and we’re a big family running it. We’re still having a full package of sports, cask ales, entertainment, summer festivals and countless activities, we’re just going to look a million times better after our refurbishment.

“With the help of Wickersley’s ‘The Way We Were’ group, we’ve collected historic photos of the area that we think will amaze our customers and are a magical highlight of our relaunch.”
