‘Referendum’ against plan to bulldoze main library

Have your say

Campaigners opposed to plans to knock down Barnsley’s Central Library and replace it with a new sixth-form college are holding their own ‘referendum’ about the plans.

The Hands Off Our Library Campaign is also organising a human chain of people surrounding the library building from 11am on Saturday and is urging people to join in. The referendum will launch at the protest, where a ballot box will be available in which people can cast votes for or against demolition.
