Ram raiders hunted after targeting Screwfix store in Sheffield

Ram raiders are being hunted by the police over an attack on a Screwfix store in Sheffield.  

They struck at the store on Rawson Spring Road, Hillsborough, overnight.

CRIME: Good Samaritan praised for detaining man after attack on woman in Sheffield park

The shutters were damaged in the raid but those involved failed to gain entry.

A police probe is now under way.

Ram raiders stole cash and cigarettes from Tesco on Dykes Hall Road, Hillsborough, this morning, but it has not yet been revealed whether detectives are linking the incident with the Screwfix attack.

The Tesco raid is being linked with a break-in at Spar on Pot House Lane, Stocksbridge and another at the Texaco garage on Burncross Road, Chapeltown.
