The Palatine Gardens project - named after a former Victorian pub in the area - would feature 54 studio apartments and duplex penthouse apartments, and is set to be created on a former industrial site between Henry Street and Roscoe Road.

If plans are approved, work is expected to begin early next year, with completion scheduled for March 2018. The project is being designed by city-based Coda Studios on behalf of Crossbow Ventures.

The firm is also behind a series of new back-to-back houses nearby as well as Krynkl - a development made entirely of recycling shipping containers, also in Shalesmoor, featuring shops, a restaurant, offices and more.

Coda’s managing director David Cross said Krynkl especially would ‘raise the profile of Shalesmoor in a way this area has not known for many decades’.
