THIS giant charity teddy needs a new loving home to make his very own.
The oversized toy was won by surprised dad Carl Siddall in a raffle for Sheffield Children’s Hospital at Sheffield United’s family open day two weeks ago.
It is now being auctioned off to raise cash for the hospital’s cystic fibrosis unit as Carl’s nephew Harry Cheetham, nine, battles the condition.
The condition affects the internal organs, especially the lungs and digestive system making it hard to breathe and digest food.
Big-hearted Carl, who lives in Woodthorpe, has called the giant bear Harry too.
He said: “I didn’t expect to win it and he’s been everywhere with me since!
“My nephew doesn’t want him so I’m just trying to raise as much money as possible for the unit, they’ve been really good to him over the years.
“A couple of people have offered £100 for the bear just to help the hospital.
“But they don’t want to keep the bear so hopefully we can find him a new home as well.”
Raffle tickets to win the bear, priced £1 each, are on sale at D,lights Cafe on City Road, Manor Top, until next Tuesday, August 28.
