Rail trip helps hospital appeal

WESTON Park Hospital Appeal is one of two charities benefiting from £37,000 raised by a special train journey.

East Midlands Trains organised the Worth Valley Wanderer service which ran from London through Sheffield to the Keighley and Worth Valley Railway in Bronté Country.

Ticket sales, raffles and auctions and a special brochure all contributed to the total raised, which will also benefit The Samaritans.

East Midlands Trains staff supported the event by donating their day’s wages.
