We are receiving reports of many delays and short-notice cancellations to rail services travelling in and out of Doncaster and Sheffield this afternoon.
A Tweet from rail service LNER said: “Due to a train hitting an obstruction on the line between #Retford and #Doncaster, train services will be subject to delays and short-notice cancellations.”
We have approached British Transport Police for clarification and to get more information on what has happened and will bring you more as we get it.
