Quilt to help after quake

A MUM whose New Zealand-based daughter took emergency calls during the earthquake in Christchurch has created a quilt to raffle off for charity.

Sarah Williamson, who works at Patchwork Garden fabrics shop in Abbeydale Road, Sheffield, decided to help out after hearing horrifying tales of the calls her daughter Cat took. The 29-year-old is an ambulance controller in Auckland.

Sarah, 59, of South View Crescent, Sharrow, said: “It’s the least I could do.” Raffle tickets are £1 from the shop. All proceeds to the Red Cross.
