Supporters of a Sheffield charity working for sufferers of epilepsy are taking on a 5km obstacle course to raise funds.

Four Fable members will tackle the urban obstacles in Hillsborough on Saturday, in memory of 12-year-old Gabi Smith, who died at home in Ecclesall earlier this year.

Fable and other local charities will run pitch-side through Sheffield Wednesday’s Hillsborough Stadium, before hitting the obstacles a 160-feet inflatable assault course in Hillsborough Park.

Participants even have to ‘slip and slide’ out of the park, making this 5km challenge a run with a difference.

Younger fundraisers can also sign up for shorter 1km and 3km challenges.

The charity, based on Bedford Street, Upperthorpe, provides support to sufferers and raises awareness of the condition.
