The owner of a specially-adapted quad bike used for TV filming has appealed for help after the vehicle was stolen in Sheffield.

Jason Jenkins shared an image of the distinctive bike, which he said was stolen from outside the Premier Inn hotel, where it had been parked.

Posting on Facebook, in a message since shared by local police officers, he said the bike had been taken on Tuesday evening this week.

"Some toe rag stole our quad bike last night whilst it was parked at the Premier Inn in Sheffield," he wrote.

"It’s slightly different from most quad bikes as it has a welded frame with rear facing seat on the back for TV filming."
