Putting lights out

A Sheffield company has welcomed government plans to phase out traditional light bulbs in Britain.

Liteworks, based in Meersbrook, sells a range of energy-efficient lights, which it claims offer medical benefits too.

It claims its range of Eudemon Pure and Fresh electric lights use 80 per cent less energy than traditional bulbs and have an in-built air purifier which is beneficial for asthmatics, among others.
