Pupils quiz MP during visit to Sheffield school

Young politicians have quizzed a Sheffield MP during her visit to a Sheffield school.

Gill Furniss, MP for Brightside and Hillsborough, visited Fir Vale School, in Fir Vale, and met with members of the school's pupil parliament.

The pupils quizzed the politician on a number of issues, including how she became an MP.

"I am impressed at how smart pupils looked and how the school has significantly raised attendance and punctuality.

"There is a real buzz around Fir Vale and a sense of energy."

She invited the pupils to visit the Houses of Parliament later in the year."
