Pupils focus on slavery
ARTWORK by students from two Barnsley schools is featured on a new website which brings history to life.
Pictures by pupils from Darton High and Kexbrough Primary form part of the Hidden Stories project about links with the slave trade.
Images and transcripts of documents and letters relate to Benjamin Spencer's slave ship, the Cannon Hall.
Documents show the Crossley family from Oxspring, profited from plantation slavery after the 1807 abolition of the slave trade.
