Pubs, shops and supermarkets closed in Sheffield city centre after power cut
A power cut in Sheffield has forced city centre shops and bars to close.
Around 80 premises are believed to be affected by the outages, with Sainsbury’s and Yates’ on Division Street closing as a result.
The issue was first reported to Northern Power at around 10am this morning, which said that a fault with an electrical cable is to blame for the power cut.
Northern Power is working to fix the fault and expects the issue to be resolved by 1.30pm (January 21).
