A public meeting is tonight set to discuss plans for student flats in Sheffield which have sparked objections from neighbours
The plans for Dyson Place, off Sharrow Vale Road, Sharrow Vale, have been changed after concerns over extra traffic and parking in the busy area were raised.
The development is now said to be ‘car free or limited parking’ with other changes made.
Other residents have also said the proposed four-storey block of 21 two-bedroom flats are out of character with the ‘vibrant’ area .
There is now a new deadline for people to comment on the proposals before Sheffield Council by Monday, December 1.
Residents are holding their meeting at the Polish club, Ecclesall Road, from 8.15pm.
The application says the housing is designed for couples, instead of large numbers of students, and the scheme will bring a ‘rundown and neglected’ part of Sharrow Vale back into use.
