A public meeting is to be held on a Sheffield estate tonight to discuss policing and a recent spate of arson attacks.

The meeting is to be held in the Scout Hut, Pack Horse Lane, High Green, at 6pm.

Police and Crime Commissioner Dr Alan Billings has agreed to attend.

It was called in the wake of a number of arson attacks on Angram Bank, which have left residents fearing for their safety.

The fires initially involved rubbish and wheelie bins but have escalated in seriousness and have involved cars.

Fences and shrubs close to homes have also gone up bin flames.

Anyone with information on the culprit or group responsible should call South Yorkshire Police on 101 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555111.
