A Sheffield pub will close on Monday for four weeks as part of a major transformation in which 10 jobs will be created.
The Closed Shop, on Commonside in Crookesmoor, will receive a £250,000 cash injection by new operators Blue Bee Brewery and owners Punch Taverns to refurbish the pub throughout and install a new kitchen.
Andy Stephens, co-founder for Sheffield-based Blue Bee Brewery, said: “There will be major work conducted throughout the pub but we want to keep the traditional look and feel of a local, community pub.
“The plans look fantastic. We will be able to offer locally-sourced and high- quality pub food as well as a range of craft beers and real ales to suit and appeal to all. I look forward to seeing the end result.”
