PUB-GOERS are hoping to raise hundreds of pounds to support wounded soldiers.

The Strad, at Stradbroke, is hosting a fundraising day called Soldier On, on Saturday, October 13, in aid of the Help for Heroes appeal.

There will be live music including a number of local bands, plus dancing from Stradbroke School and Community Group.

The pub is also setting up a bouncy castle and hosting other fun and games.

And the organisers are also laying on a hot roast pork stall and burger van.

The Strad, on Stradbroke Drive, has held regular events in aid of Help for Heroes.

The charity raises funding for projects to help wounded veterans of the Iraq and Afghanistan wars as they battle to return to normal life.
