A MAN has been jailed for 14 months for brandishing a fake gun in a Chesterfield pub from which he had earlier been barred.
Christopher Wright, aged 34, of Atlow Close, Chesterfield, was asked to leave The Holmebrook Tavern on Linacre Road following an argument with his girlfriend.
He went back to his flat to pick up the imitation gun and returned to the pub to confront the landlord who had barred him.
The landlord and another customer wrestled him to the ground and took the gun from him before police arrived.
Wright was locked up after pleading guilty to possessing an imitation firearm with intent to cause fear or violence at a hearing at Derby Crown Court.
The incident happened on December 30 last year.
