£9,000 green grant awards
CONSERVATION projects in the Peak District have been handed up to £9,000 in grants to help improve the environment.
The Peak District Sustainable Development Fund has given out grants and guidance to projects, which aim to benefit the environment or local communities. The grants, administered by the Peak District National Park Authority, have also helped to build sun pipes, solar heating and ground source heat pumps, encouraging local communities to become greener in their ways.
