A probe is underway into the cause of a blaze involving a number of cars and vans at a repair centre in Sheffield.

Flames were spotted at the business premises on Coleford Road, Darnall, at 1.25am today and when firefighters arrived they found that 'multiple cars and vans' were engulfed in flames.

CRIME: Another knife found by police in Sheffield suburbThree fire engines and an aerial ladder platform were sent to the blaze and crews spent over three hours at the scene.

The fire broke out on the same industrial street as a blaze at R Cox Haulage Ltd last week.

On that occasion, offenders stole the keys to a number of vehicles and drpve them around the yard in a demolition derby fashion.

As part of the wrecking spree, the company's main office and a caravan were set alight

Company owner Robert Rounce said: "The people responsible for this sheer act of nastiness are cruel excuses for human beings.

"We are all truly gutted."

Mr Rounce said the damage is likely to run into tens of thousands of pounds.
