A new principal has been appointed to run Sheffield’s second University Technical College.

Sarah Clark will be in charge of the UCT at the Sheffield Olympic Legacy Park campus, Attercliffe, from September.

The £10 million facility, which will cater for 600 students, aged 14 to 19, will specialise in human sciences and computing.

Students will leave with technical as well as traditional academic qualifications.

Ms Clark, who was Principal and Vice Principal at Landau Forte Academy Sixth Form, in Tamworth, West Midlands, before her appointment, said: “I feel privileged to lead such an exciting new facility.”
