Prime minister’s jail plan over CSE criticised

Prime minister David Cameron’s plan to jail teachers, councillors and social workers who fail to protect children from child sex abuse is ‘too little, too late’ according to a Ukip candidate.

Jane Collins, MEP and Rotherham hopeful, said the PM should be pushing through the legislation before the election.

She said:“I welcome legislation aimed at stopping public officials ignoring CSE, but politicians have not acted quickly enough to safeguard our children.”
