Primark uses Renishaw Hall for Christmas fashion shoot

The world famous retailer took over Renishaw Hall in Eckington to host a fashion shoot for its Christmas adverts.

Despite the historic Grade II listed house being decked out with Christmas trees and decorations on the adverts, models took part in the shoot over the summer.

The Red Dining Room, the Smoke Room and the Ballroom were among the parts of the hall transformed into a festive party scene for the fashion shoot, with for women’s, men’s and children’s clothing all modelled in the latest campaign.

Models are pictured in front of an orante fireplace, in a bathroom and sprawled across a bed in the country house.

Alexandra Sitwell, owner of Renishaw Hall and Gardens, said: “We were thrilled when we knew Primark were going to use the hall for a fashion shoot and have been awaiting the results in anticipation.

“It is great fun to see the house depicted as it is, and now on show across so many locations throughout the country no doubt.”

Renishaw Hall has been owned by the Sitwell family for nearly 400 years.

It was built in 1625 by George Sitwell, who, in 1653, was High Sheriff of Derbyshire.

The Sitwell fortune was made as colliery owners and ironmasters from the 17th to the 20th centuries.

It is opening its doors to the public this Christmas, with a number of special tours taking place tomorrow, Sunday and December 16.

Mrs Sitwell added: “My family and I look forward to welcoming visitors to see the rooms within the house dressed simply but tastefully for Christmas, with fires roaring and our expert guides taking you around the highlights of my family’s collection.”
