Pride in South Yorkshire young people who completed Princes Trust programme

Ten youngsters have graduated from a Prince's Trust programme working alongside South Yorkshire firefighters and Barnsley College.

The 12-week programme was a personal development course for unemployed 16 – 25 year-olds, offering work experience, qualifications, practical skills, the chance to take part in community projects and a residential week.

A graduation ceremony was held at Barnsley Town Hall.

South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue programme leader, John Daley, said; “I am really proud of the whole group. The young people have experienced a sense of achievement which has inspired them to move forward with new confidence and ambition.”
