A thief has stolen a pregnant Sheffield woman's car - complete with a baby seat base - as she prepares to give birth.

The silver Audi A4 was stolen from Hollybank Drive, Intake, between 3.30pm and 9pm yesterday.

South Yorkshire Police said the owner of the car is about to give birth.

Her car contained a fixed base which her baby seat attaches to.

The heavily pregnant woman is due in three weeks.

A force spokesman said: "Keep your eyes out for this vehicle. The owner is about to have a baby and this vehicle has been stolen with the baby seat in it

"The keys have not been taken. Is it parked up near your address?"

The car's registration number is DK12 SYR.

Anyone with information should call South Yorkshire Police on 101 quoting incident 963 of February 12.
