EFFORTS by Sheffield’s St Wilfrid’s Centre to help the city’s homeless and vulnerable residents led to the centre’s staff being invited to a reception at the Houses of Parliament.

The event was arranged by Simrin Choudhrie, a patron of the centre on Queens Road, and hosted by Keith Vaz MP, chairman of the Home Affairs Committee.

As well as representatives from the St Wilfrid’s centre, including director Kevin Bradley, attendees also numbered former Blades manager Neil Warnock and his wife Sharon, and Queens Park Rangers striker Rob Hulse with his wife Antonia. Sheffield, Rotherham and Chesterfield MPs were present, too.
