A warning has been issued by police after a large amount of ‘potentially fatal’ medication was stolen from a home in Doncaster.

Around 180 morphine tablets were reportedly taken from a property in Balby Road, Balby, and police have urged the public to be cautious.

The burglary happened between July 6 and 8 and officers have warned the public that just one tablet could have ‘potentially fatal side effects’.

A South Yorkshire Police spokesman said: “Health professionals advise that one tablet could have potentially fatal side effects.

“The tablets, which are called Zomorph, are in white and yellow boxes. They are clear and yellow capsules.

“If you have been offered tablets that match this description, or hold any information as to the whereabouts of the medication, police would like to hear from you.
