“The learner who has tested positive attended the Japanese Level 1 class on Wednesday October 7 2020.

"Please do not attend evening classes if you are symptomatic or if you are awaiting test results.

“In consultation with the Public Health team, and as learners were seated in a socially distanced manner in the classroom, only learners seated closest to the learner must self isolate for 14 days from the date of their last contact, Wednesday 7 October.

"This applies to two learners.

“It is important to emphasise that the reason why learners must stay at home is because they might develop symptoms of Covid-19.

“If you are unable to attend classes, your tutor will email to you any relevant resources from the classes you will miss.”

Autumn term evening classes got under way at the school last week in a number of subjects including a number of foreign languages.

Anyone requiring further information about dealing with Covid-19 or who has any concerns is asked to contact Mrs Gooden’s PA via email at [email protected]
