Staff and students at a Sheffield secondary school are in mourning after the sudden death of a popular teacher.
Jonathan Curley, who was in his late 40s, taught at High Storrs School, Bents Green, and died last weekend.
Jonathan had been a music teacher at the school for eight years and was much loved by pupils and teachers alike.
Headteacher Ian Gage said: “He was a well-respected colleague who played an integral part in school productions throughout his career at High Storrs.
“More recently Jonathan had been teaching English where his love of literature proved to be an asset.
“Jonathan will be remembered for his considerate approach to teaching and his genuine passion for music which he used to inspire his students.
“We will miss him greatly. We are in touch with his parents and our thoughts are with his family and closest friends at this difficult period for them.”
