Poppy wearers
Just a quick letter to say how I heartily agree with the view of Mr Dave Croucher (last week) and his comments about the inappropriate use of the word Heroes, these are my sentiments too and I am sure many other readers agree also .
That said, and as we approach Remembrance day when we pay homage to TRUE Heroes, I wonder how many of your readers realise that the proper way to wear a poppy is with the green leaf positioned to represent 11 o clock, ( as on a clock face ), this simply signifies that we remember the fallen at 11 o clock on the 11th day of the 11th month. Just a quirky snippet of info I thought people may like .
