Pop-up police stations are to be used in Sheffield in a bid to make bobbies more accessible.

Agreements have been reached for South Yorkshire Police to work in venues at the heart of the communities they serve.

The Parson Cross and Southey Green team, made up of a sergeant, constables and Community Support Officers, will be working from Oxspring Bank Community Centre, Four Greens Community Centre and Southey Library, all in Southey.

They will also be based at the Parson Cross Forum and Parson Cross Learning Zone in Parson Cross as well as Fox Hill Medical Centre, Fox Hill Forum and Fox Hill Tenants and Residents Association, Fox Hill.

A South Yorkshire Police spokesman said: "We will soon be advertising via social media and through posters at each location the dates and times in which we will be present."
