REFUSE staff have donated a pool table to young homeless people in Sheffield.
Workers at Veolia Environmental Services gave their old table to city charity Cherrytree, which supports homeless people aged 16-21 who are unable to live with their families, after refurbishments at the firm’s offices.
The table has formed part of an activity centre also including a table tennis and football table for young people to enjoy.
Angela Grayson, manager at Cherrytree, on Mickley Lane, said: “I would like to thank Veolia for their donation. It has far exceeded our expectations and provided a fantastic way for the young people in the house to socialise.”
Veolia Environmental Services provides refuse services for Sheffield Council across the city.
