An inquest into her death was due to open at 9.15am tomorrow at Doncaster Coroner’s Court.

Gavin Baldwin, chief executive of Doncaster Dome, said an internal investigation had been launched.

He said: “We are now working with the Health and Safety Executive who will be on site throughout the week.

According to The Dome’s child admission policy, children under the age of eight must be accompanied by a swimming adult, with no more than two children to one grown up.

Children under the age of four are admitted on a one adult to one child basis.
