Pool team pocket £300 sponsorship from travel agent

A BARNSLEY pool team has chalked up £300 worth of sponsorship from a local travel agent.

The South Yorkshire County Pool Association youth team pocketed the funds from Travelcare to purchase a team strip.

Travelcare, which has branches in the town's Eldon Street and Market Street was spot on when it provided the under-18s team with matching T-shirts.

Sarah Weston, branch manager at Travelcare in Market Street, said: "As a local travel agent we are keen to support community projects. By donating T-shirts to the team we have hopefully helped the club to release funds for other uses.”
