POTTERIC Carr Nature reserve has been boosted with a grant to develop more facilities at its Doncaster site.

The reserve, close to White Rose Way, is to benefit from £9,888 awarded to Yorkshire Wildlife Trust, which will be used to create and design a new community outdoor classroom and pond dipping platforms.

It is one of a number of organisations from across Yorkshire which will receive money from the Big Lottery Fund from its Community Wildlife programme to support a range of green community projects.

Paul Jones, Big Lottery Fund spokesman, said: “Our Community Wildlife programme is all about supporting projects that get people of all ages and backgrounds working together to improve and protect their local wildlife.”
