Roy Hodgson has resigned as England manager following defeat to Iceland

Hodgson led England to an embarassing 2-1 defeat to Iceland in the European Championships round of 16 to put a shameful cap on what has been a largely poor campaign.

According to SkyBet, under 21s boss Gareth Southgate is the favourite for the post at 11/8 with Harry Redknapp following on 5/1.

Up next is pundit and England legend Alan Shearer on 6/1, but the one-time Newcastle manager is backing a ‘dream’ partnership of Glenn Hoddle (8/1) and Southgate.
